February sees more Kimbolton Success for X30 seniors
9 Feb 2015
A strong team of X30 senior drivers arrived at a very cold Kimbolton.
Team drivers in senior X30 were Lewis Bickers, Joe Higham and Rhys Malyon.
After a solid days practise getting the set ups on the Tonykart and CRG's the team were confident of success on Sunday.
Heat 1 - Saw Joe Higham battle his way upto 7th from a back grid position securing the fastes lap of the race. while Rhy Malyon and Lewis Bickers secured 2nd and 3rd respectivly.
Heat 2 - Another top 3 finish for Global Karting with Joe Higham, followed by Lewis Bickers and Rhys Malyon after a race long battle. Rhys securing the second fastest lap.
A strong showing from the team with the main competion coming from 3 times HKRC champion Derek Morgan.
With Rhys Malyon on P2, Lewis Bickers on P3 and Joe Higham on P4 the team had done a great job working on the driving, engine and chassis throughout the day, proving Rob Hanscombs and Mike Spencers experience was golden.
The start was not the best for the Global Karting boys, with Rhys and Joe losing out the most. Derek Morgan got the gap he needed and although Lewis Bickers had by lap 2 got into second the 0.5 second lead was maintained until the end! Rhys had to battle back from 6th place to finish 3rd and Joe a great 4th.
Once again Global Karting find themselves at the sharp end and picking up podiums in Iame X30.
2015 starts as well as 2014!
